Haven Humane Society’s Pet of the Week
Zoey (10432000) is a grey and black long haired 3 month old, female kitten. She is a very sweet girl that loves a good scratch on the chin. Â She is available for adoption at Haven Humane Society. Public Notice: Crystal Creek Falls at Whiskeytown to Close for Trail Restoration
The Crystal Creek Falls, part of the Whiskeytown National Park, will be temporary closed beginning Monday, July 19, 2010 and will not be expected to open until October 1, 2010. The trail and general area around the falls will have restoration work done to improve public safety, erosion control, and to return area to a more natural state. Thank you for your patience. Book Sale at Cottonwood Community Library
Do you enjoy the hunt for the perfect read? Are you a tracker of your favority author who now out of print? Ever thought of reading a specific author but did not want to pay bookstore prices to do so? Here is a perfect opportunity to satisfy all those needs, and stock up on some good reading! The Cottonwood Community Library empties out the overflow of duplicated and donated books once each quarter, and makes these good books available to the public. Books vary from old-time favorites to latest best sellers that are duplicated in the library.
On Saturday August 7th, the entire meeting room of the library will be overflowing with books for all readers. Hardcover books, paperbacks, DVD’s and VHS movies, and book on tape or CD will be for sale. All proceeds will go directly back to the library for the purchase of needed new books.
The book sale will be held on Saturday August 7, 2010 from 10am-2pm in the meeting room of the Cottonwood Community Library located at 3427 Main Street. Come early for the best selection! For more information please call 347-4818.
About Redding
