Another Chance Animal Welfare League’s Pet of the Week

manny-big.jpgCheck this guy out. His name is Manny. He is a beautiful, Maine Coon mix, long hair, tabby with white. He was abandoned at a trailer park. He had to fend for himself for quite awhile and was viciously attacked by a pit bull. His throat was partially torn out. The vet did a great job putting him back together but, then he was left outside again. When we were called to the park to pick up 10 abandoned cats we came with crates and traps in hopes of finding and picking them up. Everyone scattered except Manny. He walked right up to us, strangers with cages, as if to say, “Please, oh please, get me outta here! I can’t take it anymore!” Once we had him safe and sound and indoors he settled in oh, so quickly, enjoying the free feed and the warmth of blankets and beds. We did however; notice he has an occasional hack. The vet says it’s from his throat wound. He looks great and you can see appreciation all over his handsome face.  He is neutered, is up to date one his shots and is FELV/FIV neg. Manny is looking for that permanent, safe place to call home.
