Shasta Veteran Tribute at Parsons Jr. High


Redding, CA – Parsons Junior High, located at 750 Hartnell Avenue

will host it’s annual Shasta Veteran Tribute on Friday,

February 17, at 8:45 AM, in the gymnasium.  

The program is dedicated to honor all veterans  and will include drama, music by the Advanced Band and vocal choir, speaking parts, a Flag presentation, the story of our beginnings, a mural display, and a special time of recognition for each and every veteran.  The program will conclude with the NorCal Historical Association providing their display of uniforms from the Civil War to present, a Vietnam helicopter, a Korean War jeep, and a brunch served by our students for all veterans and guests in the cafeteria.  Redding East Rotary members will be greeters and Colonel Pete Stiglich, Maurice Johannessen, and Veteran Museum Curator Navy Chief Rob Burroughs will help recognize the attending veterans.

Parsons Junior High is dedicated to teaching patriotism and respect for our country and veterans.
