The Economics of Happiness Film Shows this Friday

Please join the Green Film Series and Growing Local for a screening of The Economics of Happiness. This film economics-of-happiness-flyer-small.jpgdescribes a world moving in two opposing directions. As governments and big business continue to push for “growth”
in the form of increased global trade, we are seeing a host of problems including financial volatility, income inequality and climate chaos to name a few. At the same time, people around the world are coming together to resist globalization by re-building more human-scale ecological economies based on localization.

The Economics of Happiness is a project of the International Society or Ecology and Culture, a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and revitalize cultural and biological diversity by strengthening local communities and economies worldwide.

The Green Film Series is a collaborative effort of local organizations whose goal is to educate and raise awareness about environmental issues and move our region toward a sustainable future by creating an environment where positive, constructive dialogue can take place between community members, businesses, government agencies, and educational organizations.
