Paisano Days 2011 starts this Friday

The Son’s of Italy’s famous Paisano Days is this weekend!  The event begins Friday with a spaghetti dinner from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. August 5. The  cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. The bocce tournament begins that night, and the Lou White Band will provide music from 6 to 10 p.m. Visit the vendor and craft booths and enjoy the Italian atmosphere.

On Saturday, the bocce ball tournament continues, with finals to be held later that evening.  Games and activities for children will be featured from 12:00 to 2 p.m., and Italian music will be showcased throughout the day.  The Lou White Band will perform again encore from 6 to 10 p.m.

Of course, there will be plenty of Italian food on hand to sample.   Paesano Days never disappoints in that department. Italian sausage sandwiches, meatball sandwiches, hot dogs, pasta bowls, cannoli, root beer floats, strawberry shortcake and much more will be available.  There will also be a BBQ chicken dinner available Saturday from 5:30-7:30PM.  A drawing is also planned. Gift baskets will be available, as will a grand prize – a Gas Barbeque courtesy of Carmona’s.
