MARINE CORPS MOUNTED COLOR GUARD PERFORMING AT 2011 RODEO PARADE

The Redding Asphalt Cowboys announced that the United States Marine Corps Color Guards will be riding in the parade to be held Saturday, May 21st at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Redding.

The Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard performs precision movements in numerous types of events.  What sets this Color Guard apart from any other Military Color Guard is the fact “America’s Hero’s” are riding “America’s Living Legends”, Wild Mustangs captured and adopted from the Bureau of Land Management.  In addition, the team only rides Mustangs of Palomino color.  The Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard is the only remaining Mounted Color Guard in the Marine Corps today.

The Annual Redding Rodeo will take place May 20th, 21st and 22nd at the Rodeo Grounds adjacent to the Redding Convention Center.
