Summer Activities for Youth in Redding

Looking for some fun summer camps for your kids? Throughout Shasta County there will be a variety of activities and camps available to entertain and interest everyone!

Redding City Musical Theatre Company’s Summer Performing Arts Camp : CAMP BROADWAY! This two week long day camp offering drama, music, and dance workshops to engage the performers in your family in   learning and practicing the arts of the theater. On June 26, all participants will perform in the ‘Broadway on the Green’ show.

Whiskeytown Environmental School Summer Camps. Grades K-8th are invited to come join a variety of overnight camps that focus on adventure, the environment and survival skills, theater with Ablan Roblin, and backpacking at Lassen Volcanic Park, as well as daily hiking, archery, kayaking, Whiskeytown Beach, fishing, and swimming, crafts, and games. $185 for 5 days, and $164 for 4 days and $275 for backpacking trip for teens 14-18. City of Redding Summer Camps. These run all summer and offer over 25 different camps for youth of all ages!

Camp Caldwell, Camp Enterprise, Camp Eureka, Camp Kickin’ It, Camp Shasta Lake, Camp X, sports, dance, fitness, gymnastics, jump rope, skateboard, arts/crafts. Each camp also offers weekly field trips, themes, and visits to the Aquatic Center and swim lessons. Prices and ages vary per camp. Kids Unlimited Summer Show Camp:  If one of your children enjoys to sing, dance, or act this is one of the best opportunities. KU is a six week long day camp for youth ages 7 to 18; focusing on developing  excellent singers, dancers, and actors with confidence and teamwork skills. Each youth gets to choose an area of theater he or she enjoys and at the end of six weeks the kids get to exhibit their talents in a two-hour long Broadway-style showcase with thousands of costumes, flare, and talent.
