Sally Wells presents, Native Images: The Works of Edward Curtis and Thomas Houseworth January 23 - April 18th 2010. This exhibit celebrates Native American heritage of the west, in particular the McCloud River Wintu. The works include 35 different cultures presented through historic photographs, Livingston Stone’s McCloud River memorabilia, and artifacts from Turtle Bay’s ethnographic collection. Admission is FREE with park admission. Located in the Exploration Hall-West.

On Thursday March 18th at 7pm Turtle Bay will present Edward Curtis- Shadow Catcher! Kirk Rudy, gallery director of the Edward Curtis Gallery will give an insider’s view into Curtis’s photography of 30 different Native American tribes and explain why Curtis was known as the Shadow Catcher. Admission $3 for members, $5 for nonmembers.
