Family Second Saturday: Build it Festival: Saturday January 9th 10:30am – 3:30pm à Hands on construction activities focusing on geometric challenges, spatial visualization, etc.

 

Wintu Audubon Soceity: Birds of the Indonesian Islands of Sulawesi and Halmahera: Tuesday January 12, 7pm à Bud and Margaret Widdowson talk about their birding trip to Spice Islands.

The Art of Mt. Shasta: January 16 - May 2, 2010 –> History of Mt. Shasta through pieces of artwork.

Mosaic Workshop with Colleen Barry: Saturdays January 16 & 23, 9:30am – 12:30pm à Learn mosaic techniques. Most materials provided. $80 members, $95 nonmembers.

 

Avalanches, Wolverines, and Lemurians: A Climbing Mt. Shasta Primer: Thursday January 21, 7pm à presentation by Chris Carr, owner and operator of Shasta Mountain guides. $3 members, $5 nonmembers.

Turtle Travels : January 23 - April 18, 2010  –> Interactive exhibit offers turtle’s-eye view of life in the slow lane.

Native Images: The Works of Edward Curtis and Thomas Houseworth : January 23 - April 18 2010 –> Celebrate the Native American heritage of the McCloud River Wintu.

Cultural Cruise 2010 : Friday January 29 4-8 pm –> Cruise the various Northstate art/historical galleries.

Museum Adventure Night: Mountains: Friday February 26, 5-8pm à Learn about volcanoes with hands on activites presented by Lassen National Park Ranger, Steve Zachary. Members free, nonmembers $4-6.

 

Family 2nd Saturday: Children’s Film Festival: Saturday March 13, 10am-3pm à Enjoy a variety of family friendly films, and hard to find films. In conjunction with the Sundial Film Festival.

Jeans, Jewels, & Jazz : March 27 5:30pm –> Swing into Spring at the Redding Convention Center with live music, dining, and a silent auction. Tickets sold out last year!
