Halloween in Redding

This year Halloween falls on a Saturday, which should make for a very busy and scary night.  So far the weather in Redding CA is supposed to be clear with mild temperatures.  Perfect weather for trick or treating.  Start the day off with a bike ride to the Nash Ranch and Hawe’s pumpkin patches beginning at Starbucks on Lake Boulevard.  Ride starts at 8:30am, call 275-3930.  After your ride grab your pet and dress them up for the  The Shasta Animal Welfare Foundation’s Halloween Pet Parade and Costume Judging at the Sundial Bridge.  The registration begins at 10:15am and the cost is $10 per entrant. The parade runs from 10am to 11am.  For more information visit the Shasta Animal Welfare Foundation’s website at www.ShastaAnimals.org or call 238-8300.

Take a break and get ready for the evenings activities.  Store to store trick or treating starts at 5:30pm at the Mt Shasta Mall.  Don’t stop now!  There are many local bars and restaurants throwing Halloween parties.  Pio Loco and The Maritime are hosting costume parties.  So have a good time on Halloween, but remember to be safe out there.
